Hsks6 - Sock duel part 1

I dont know what to say other than im terrified, Eugene is such a talented knitter. But im not gowing down with out a figth! I found some lovely Hundertwassers yarn in my stash, truley love this one (Werk 897), hope that it will get me trough the duel fast and with out to mutch trouble.

Eugene is a size 41 in shoes im a 37 im not sure if that's fair, so I told Eugene that if he agree he could make my Dear Boyfrind Michael a nice size 41 socks too ;)

Heidi, Lone and I went to Helsinge to visit Gitte at Uldgalleriet this is the nice viewe she have. It is realy nice to go visit her i the shop, and knit all saturday.

























At tuesday the 3 of us were at Heidis place knitting and watching Harry Potter, a good frind of mine (Carina) was there too.



























For dinner Carsten (Heidis boyfrind) made us rice porridgewith butter and cinnamon on top, he had also bougth us some butter beers :)

Hsks6 - Hufflepuff homework

1. Do you knit and/or crochet? I knit and crochet.

2. How long have you been at your craft? I have been knitting since I was a child, Crochet is somethin I learned a few years ago.


3. Do you spin? If yes do you use drop spindle or wheel. I do not spin yet, but i got a lovely wheel. Im going to learn wery soon I hope.

4. What is your favorite color? I just love colours, I got no colours that I dont like, Im having a periode of blue rigth now.


5. Do you have any other hobbies? reading, painting sewing, making books for children (schoolbooks, learning styles). walking in the citty.

6. What are your favorite yarns/fibers? Mostly I like animal fibers, ore something funy. Kauni and Nuro is some of my faves.

7. What are your LEAST favorite yarns/fibers?polyester ore other syntetic yarns is something Im not usaly using, but sometimes it's fun to give it a try.

8. Are there any yarns that you’ve been eyeing and wanting to try? Yes lots of yarn's, but I do got a good eye on these 4, sophia, mentor, lofty ore veldt from posh yarn.

9. What are you currently working on? Too mutch perhaps, but boy im having fun... rigth now im doing a doubleknitted sock caled Tonks patronus socks, hope I can do it, it is kind of an extrem project.


10. What is your favorite Finished Object? (Pictures are welcome.)my first sock, got no pictures, but it is the one thing that made me wery happy for a long time.

11. Are their any knitting/crochet techniques that you would like to learn? Yes knitting 2 in 1 sock, tripple knitting (like doubleknitting but with 3 colours and not the same on side a as on side b)

12. What is you favorite type of book or movie? Fantasy/Sci-fi Books. Fantasy/Sci-fi movies.

13. Who is your favorite person at Hogwarts? Luna lovegood

14. Favorite class and/or subject at Hogwarts? History of Magic

15. How many family members do you have? 4

16. What is your favorite Fall activity?knitting, walking painting.

17.How many projects do you have on your needles/hook?over 50

18. What is your favorite type of footwear?Comfy, no heels, balarina is my fave.

19. What is your favorite beverage of choice? i prefere cake, all kind of cake

20. What is your favorite part of Half-blood Prince? Not sure yet, as im re-reading it, and new things is getting interesting.

HSKS6 - Returning student

Huzzah Hufflepuff...
The Raveolympics is ower, I won a prize for the Aragog. Ive got the pattern for a pair of wery lovely pride socks by Ann Kingston.

Now Im wating for the term to start at Hogwarts, I have a lot of knitting going on, as Im in the Harry Potter knit and crochet house cup too.

Fødselsdags strik-in hos Jane

Jane havde inviteret til fødselsdagsstrik-in, Heidi, Heidi's mor og jeg havde taget vores rokke med, for nu var det på tide at jeg fik lært at spinne på den dejlige Rok som Susi Nyholm har foræret mig. Det er min den lille, er den ikke fin?

Jane Had a knit-in at her birdthday, Heidi, her mum and I had brougth our spinningwhell's along. I were going to learn how to spin. The small wheel is mine I got it from Susi Nyholm. It is so cute.


























Janes have er fantastisk til at sidde og spinne i, her er det Heidi og hendes mor Inge der er igang.

Jane's garden is fabules for spinning, here is Heidi and her mum Inge spinning.

























det var det garn jeg fik spundet, jeg har brug for meget mere træning, heldigvis har jeg 800 g gotland at øve mig på.

This is the only yarn that I got spun, need more practis, lucky me I got 800 g of Gotland wool to practis on :)

Liv (Janes store datter) og hendes veninde lavede denne skønne hufflepuff taske til mig, alt hvad de ville have til gengæld var nogle Hogwards sokker, Og det skal de have, jeg vil lave Ann Kingstons pride sokker til dem.

Liv (the dougther of Jane) and a frind of her made this lovely hufflepuff bag for me, all that they wanted in return were Hogwards socks. Im going to make them some lovely Pride socks by Ann Kingston.

Jeg har brugt Mayflower garn, og silkefarve blandet med vand og eddike, derefter en tur i microovn i 8 min, en meget enkel måde at farve på.

I have used Mayflower yarn and silk dye to colour my yarn.

Et hæfte med sokker - a sock pattern book

I længere tid har jeg tænkt over at sælge mønstre, sokke mønstre for at være konkret. Jeg ved bare ikke helt hvordan jeg skal gribe det an.
I dag fik jeg så endelig en ide... Til september holder webstrikkerne strikkefestival i Silkeborg, der vil jeg præcentere mine kære med strikkesøstere for mit sokkehæfte (det er altså kun lavet som skitse, stadig ingen strikkeprøver).

For some time I have been thinking of selling some sock patterns, I just did not know how.
Today I got an idea... In september the Webstrikkerne is having an Knitting festival... Im going to precent my sockpattern book for my knittingsisters... (This is the idea, have not knittet any of it yet)

Hsks5 - from Eleanor

I've got these lovely stitchmarkers from Val (Eleanor Wigworthy) the day before we went for the Roskilde festival... I almost forgot to post the picture... Sorry Val.

The markers was not all tha Owlbert brougth, I also got some lovely candy (no pictures) It tastet good... You can be my swap frin the next time, and the all I wish for is that candy ;)

I hope tha Owlbert has returned safely, I tryed to feed him, but danish food was a bit to strange for him I think.

Hsks5 - Dream Swatch

Im making a headband for the next Quidditch match, It were an idea one of the Puff's came up with. I'll poste a picture later on, my camera just need to get some food first ;) back to the knitting.

The picture is here, Look at the little badger paw on my new needles from Miranda Moonstone of Ravenclaw... They are so cute...

The yarn is Opal Hundertwasseres werk 956, I think it got kinde of a Hufflepuff immage.

The Headband is done, love the way this Hundertwassers yarn stripes and makes tiny spots of black.

Its hard to take pictures of one self ;) Ok I know the headband did not match the close I was wering that day...

HSKS5 - sock duel

One thing is surtan, im loosing this duelround, my socks are not done jet. And they are not going to be this week.
What i hate about this is not having time for knitting, work takes up all my time these days. I love my work, dont get me wrong, but I also hate loosing.

Some of us were talking about quilt's in the commonrome the other day, this is a "quilt" I have made, click on the picture to see the details, It took almost forever, It have seving, enbrodery, needlefelting, Chrochet, making cloth (the trees, are made from paper on cloth, and beats sewen on) This is 1 out of 6 pictures. Im going to use it im my teatching in school. But it is a project that is going to take years , so for now it is going to hang in our libery on my school.

All the pictures is going to have a Witch/wizzard world look.

På webstrikkerne havde uldgalleriet inviteret til WKIP-dag. Og tak for det, det var en vidunderlige dag, hvor erfaringer og meninger blev delt i en hjertensvarm stemning.






Ja faktisk var stemningen så god, at der nu er lavet Strikkecafe i Uldgalleriet hver 2. lørdag. Mon ikke det er et besøg eller 10 værd :)

Vi strikkede i 2 grupper i butikken, efter snak om en stoledans (for at mødes med hinanden) blev vi enige om at sidde lidt her og lidt der, hvilket var en perfekt ide.







Og så til det søde, eller skal jeg sige det stærke, dette er verdens nok stærkeste bolcher, de er stærkt vanedannende.
